| A "Utopia" is an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect. The word was first used in the book Utopia (1516) by Sir Thomas More. During this unit, we are going to read about worlds that were created to be "perfect" but failed and ended up stripping citizens of choice, individuality, and freedom. |

ReplyDeleteI would first make a Goverment, because you need rules and laws so that everyone in society will benefit equally. In my utopia I would have no vilence or threats of war.For school everybody would get thier education for free. How you make your money is by standing in line to pick money off the tree.A typical day in my Utopia would be... Wake up and go play than after a while go to work wait in line to pick money then go home.People would pick thier jobs by doing what you want, if you want to be a docter you would go to collage get you m.d. and that would be my utopia.
I will first make a government with laws so people will not go around killing people. The govenrment will be calm and fair with equal laws for everyone. There would be a small test to see what they are best at. I would grade the test then decide that person's job. In my utopia no person will be poor or treated badly. There will only be airsoft wars instead of real wars. In the world there would be airsoft fields, go cart tracks, laser tag centers, amusement parks and water parks. People would relax at home, go outside and play, read a book, play airsoft with friends, riding go carts, playing laser tag or play video games. The schools will only last for 4-5 hours with 5 periods including lunch. School will be free. The schools would have one soda fountain with a choice of ten sodas and 19 water fountains. (The students will only have two soda fountain trips per week. But you have to go to a water fountain at least 2 times a day.) There would be lots of grocery stores with lots of fresh fruit and veggies and about 12-18 restaurants in each city.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing I would do is make a big town hall to have meetings in. Then I would make a government and elect a president. I would then make the law to the right of " Life, liberty, and reaching toward the best life you can live." Also, (I am realistic) not everyone would be as deluxe as some others. But, every one has the choice to continue in the game of life, and not lose until you quit. And no one would argue, you would just get the app on your hologram phone: Big red button, and tiny little people would give you brain massage, and calming you down. Doctors would be so well advanced, you would never get sick, and only die from one cause... potato poisoning. Also, you were born educated, and you just start life, education wise, at the end of college. Everyone had giant man caves, where you could ski, water ski, play airsoft, play baseball, football, and watch tv on a 4-d 680 ft. Screens. And that, obviously, is a utopia, my utopia.
In my utopia the government would be fair and medium-sized. It would make fair, simple laws to easily keep order. Because money is such a big deal these days and nobody seems to get enough, the government would be allowed to grant a person a certain amount of money until they can pay them back. The schools would have a little less homework (Hint-Hint) but still enough to help them learn. The rules about getting guns would be that if you purchased a gun you would have to bring the gun to court once a week for them to check on it. If you didn't the police would be on your case. Finally before a war there must be an attempt at negotiation before the fighting. Other than the world is pretty good as it is.

ReplyDeleteMy perfect city would be called Radicalville. it would have a giant Townhall and a sports center with a soccer field, baseball field, vollyball court, pool, ice rink, ping pong table, billiards, and a video game room. there woud ba river going through the middle of town with a kayak and canoe renting and lessons place. the schools owuld be along the river so at recess the students could go swimming. They would learn everything from math to soccer. There would be a grocery store and resturants form all around the world. John Paul
I can't think of a utopia that would stay a utopia, but I can think of one that would fail. Its purpose would be for everyone to have liberty. It would mean that everyone could do anything they wanted, which includes criminals. Bad idea! It would also mean that kids could go to school only if they wanted to, and those who went could do anything they wanted to do there. Kids would get dumber and dumber. It would mean that people could choose any job they wanted. Soon, all the best jobs would be taken, and they would be forced to either adapt, or kick people out. People could choose their prices for anything: goods, services, loans, interest, mortgages, bills and even taxes. The producer/serviceman/company would probably go out of business. Problems like poverty and inequality would be addressed by whoever wanted to address them and any way they wanted to address them. But just like Earth, we can eat whatever we want. I like Earth a lot better than that world!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect world would be a world that had many rights that also restricted you from currently illegal activities (-base jumping). The school would be fun yet kids wouldn't know they were learning until the tests like going to the water park for physics and math. The world would look like a piece of machinery with the tube transport and houses high ways would be zero g tunnels in which magnetically suspended cars with gravity in side would travel the cays gravity would pull towards your feet. The government would prevent war or nuclear weapons .My perfect planet may be good but no matter what its worse than earth as it may not stay a utopia and become a dystopia.
ReplyDeleteMy perfect world is where everybody has an Xbox, everybody has Xbox Live, and everybody plays Modern Warfare III on Multi-Player. There would be no poverty, famine or disease. There would be no war. People would still have the freedoms they have now, and there would be the latest advances in medical technology and treatment. Food would be abundant but people would eat responsibly and not get fat. Humans would figure out a way to use renewable resources to fuel cars that already exist, and not have to make new cars. The energy resource would be something common like dirt or salt water and does not give off greenhouse gases. We would also find a way to replenish our atmosphere with oxygen and eliminate the carbon dioxide to stop global warming. We would also figure out a way to stabilize the polar ice caps and prevent further melting.

In my Utopia, people will spend their days doing whatever they want. There will be no "No Skating in the Park" rules. Dinner will be at lunchtime. Jobs will be great, and people only work jobs that they like most. Everyone will do what they are best at and enjoy doing. Food will consist of tropical bananas and magical food that doesn't make people fat, unless they want to be fat. Free marshmallows for everyone! The Government will be stable and get along with other countries. In school, children will choose five subjects they like most. There will be no poverty or inequality because the wealth will be equally distributed. There will be no laws because everyone will love each other.
ReplyDeleteIn my Utopia, none will be fat, and there won't be poverty or famine. There won't be anyone that's the same. there also won't ever be money because people would hand make all their stuff. Children will go to school and learn what they please ( within reason ). Children will go to school from 9am to 3:30pm. The government will not be lopsided, and there wouldn't be any war what so ever. Finally all will love each other. That is my Utopia.
ReplyDeleteMy perfect world would have no drugs, beer, and no smoking. People would be so smart that they don't have to go to school. If you kill an animal they don't die or get hurt they just have another body of their own. All you do in this wold is have fun for the rest of you'r life. That is what my perfect life would be like.
